The Fly

Peter Kendall is the Fly (on-the-wall), at the ABC Studios in East Perth.  He’s exploring the ABC from the inside and is bringing us his unique view over the month of September.Peter is a well known portrait and abstract artist, living in Perth and you can see some of his artwork on his website… this is part of what he says about creating art:

I’ve been wandering around the house in a “stunned” state for days.
I have created something that has me in awe.
I can’t believe that I created this “perfect child”.
I keep going into the studio to look at it.
I can’t believe it!

Entering the studio is difficult.
I am more comfortable peeping through a window.
I haven’t told anyone, I don’t want others looking at it.
They might infect her calmness, her pervasiveness.
Lyn does not know that she exists.

When I create I grant life to the work, imbuing it with life.  I endeavour to elminate all that is irrelevant to the creative process.  Creating in present time and allowing all my aspects self, mind, body, bushes, paint, canvas, to be a vehicle and conduit to the creative process.

A work of Art is a Journey through considerations, opinions and postulates. It is a journey of understandings.
